Hmm, not sure if it's necessary but I'd like to see it.

i theorize the theatrical cut is a crippled version of the film, and that the pace critiques come from the film not being able to fully stretch its legs and realize its true low key, atmospheric mood.
i assume 2:30 was the longest they'd let ari go and still give it a theatrical run, which means you're making defensive creative decisions instead of offensive ones, which is of course no bueno
