Saoirse Ronan Reveals Kate Winslet Is Latest Actor To Join Wes Anderson’s ‘The French Dispatch’

https://theplaylist.net/kate-winslet-fr ... um=twitter
Wes Anderson is currently in production of his next film, “The French Dispatch.” As we’ve covered, quite extensively, the film is going to have one of the best casts in the history of a Wes Anderson film, as the filmmaker brings back some of his old favorites and adds some Oscar nominees for good measure. But perhaps the biggest name yet was just added, and it would appear that the filmmaker has decided to add one more Oscar-winner just for good measure.

During an interview on a BBC morning radio show (confirmed by the French media), Saoirse Ronan, who is starring in “The French Dispatch,” was asked about working on the film, which is filled with incredible talent. And in describing the talent, she lets one previously unknown name drop.

“I haven’t started yet,” says Ronan. “I’m doing that in the new few weeks, actually. And everyone’s in it. Like I’m about to work with Kate Winslet, as well, and she’s going to be in it for a couple of days.”

The french part of the cast has been announced, and it's quite big: Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste, Benjamin Lavernhe, Vincent Macaigne, Félix Moati, Guillaume Gallienne, Cécile de France, Denis Ménochet, Léa Seydoux.

Guess like for Isle of dogs, a third of the film could be subtitled.

And the English cast is Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Saoirse Ronan, Kate Winslet, and Timothée Chalamet? Am I leaving anyone out?

Sad to not see Ed Norton or Adrien Brody return.

I also read O.Wilson, W.Dafoe, A.Brody, Bob Balaban, and Henry Winkler

(Wilson's name appears a lot on twitter as part of the cast, and also in some articles that list the cast)

People saying things like this because they apparently need to be said hurts me.

Why? I didn't say it was good or bad. Being French, I don't even care. But I think that it's an important decision in the writing process to decide to make a filmin two languages. That's what interests me.

I know you didn't say that. It just made me think about the fact that there are so many people who don't watch films with subtitles because they can't be bothered to do so.
