There Will Be Blood is one of the most fascinating character studies of the decade. If you paid attention to the nuances and subleties that the film bases itself on, you wouldn't be bored.

I'm not sure about Star Wars or Matrix and Kill Bill vol 2 but all of the others definitely deserved to be amongst the top 250.

Donnie Darko (2001)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
The Elephant Man (1980)

wtf? I think you are Edelstein's sister...

EDIT: reading this thread... it's all a big funny joke...

WHO GIVES A CRAP ABOUT A TOP 250 list on IMDB/RT/MW/MC or any other site?...

Not to mention people don't understand what a TOP X really means. Since a large number of people could vote then it's something that could be taken as a general consensus or a wide acceptance. Therefore, your problems with the top don't really matter and are irrelevant since that top isn't made for you as an individual.

The Shawshank Redemption didn't deserve the top spot.
As to those who were undeserving
-Fight Club (overrated. Plain and simple. Has a pretentious ending)
-The Matrix (poor film. It had that potential to be a powerful existential film but the characters were so blank. They didn't have any struggle to begin with)
-Toy Story 3 (I really love TS3, but it didn't deserve its place)
-The King's Speech ( :modesty: )
-Batman Begins (sorry my fellow Nolanfans. Again, don't get me wrong. I love Begins. But...)
-Slumdog Millionaire (well, very ordinary)
-Heat (overdramatic)
-Grave of the Fireflies
-Avatar
-V for Vendetta

+1
While watching that film, I felt intelligent because I was familiar with many things discussed.
