It really depends on domestic release date. I currently have it in my 2018 top ten.

It's 2018 in both US and UK, therefore, 2018? Although that means I should really have You Were Never Really Here on the list, even though I saw it last October...fuuuuuck

Standards for Top Ten and Release Dates:

I use U.S. Domestic Limited to Wide release date. Not festival dates. And not if it premiered in France the year before. I recommend just simplifying and applying that same logic to your country of origin, unless for some reason you'd rather cohere to US as that's where most conversation in film criticism is happening.

How our Top Tens cohere or not when this is such an international forum is just a thing to deal with but it shouldn't be rocket science.

Okay, then I guess I'll list Lean on Pete as 2018:

1. You Were Never Really Here
2. Annihilation
3. The Death of Stalin
4. A Quiet Place
5. The Rider
6. Lean on Pete
7. Isle of Dogs
