Bardem has my trust for No Country.

Exactly.

That shot in the car where you just see Bardem's lips is great - there's something terrible about them and it's felt in No Country as well.

I hate to say it, especially because it means I'm agreeing with you, but a little. I figured it'd be played more subtle and here he's very Bond villain-esque which is quite a bit further from reality than the previous Craig Bonds.

I actually kind of like that.

Who thinks the film's climax will occur at that burning Lodge?

This was interesting?

I'm loving the fact that Bardem is ridiculous and playing it with a bit of camp. The last really rock-solid proper Bond villain we had (Mads is very good, but it's a performance cut from a different cloth) is Sean Bean as Trevelyan, so I'm already enamoured with what Bardem is doing. It's a departure for him, it's what I think Craig's franchise needed (less po-faced while still being able to explore themes and turn the forumla on its head).

It looks like a traditional Bond film, but with a modern-setting. Bardem looks like he fits the profile of what a Bond Villain should be. He doesn't have to be scary like he was in No Country for Old Men, he just needs to be very threatening to be more believable. In some bits, Craig looks a bit aged, but in others he still looks young; I wonder how he does that. I'm still very excited for this film, probably my most anticipated film for the rest of this wonderful year.

I'm sorry but Bardem looks so silly. I can't even think of him as a villain because of that awful look he has going on. Its quite hilarious really.

I quite like Bardem's look. It looks unnatural and a bit alien.

So Bond is just going to survive that epic fall?

It is a long drop to hit water and survive, but it's a bond film so wouldn't be out of ordinary to see unrealistic action.
