and as much as I love Judi Dench, in general as an actress and as M, it is known that she is, sadly, losing her eyesight rather quickly, which means it is probably a good time to replace her (and they'd be replacing her with a highly talented actor).
Not getting my hopes up or anything, but it would be fantastic if Fiennes (despite the fact that he'll probably be in on the action) resembled the Admiral, the classic M from the Fleming books. Hell, the character's surname even begins with the damn letter! :roll:

Yeah but
I'd rather have her replaced by an actor who can do it for a long time. Ralph Fiennes is a hot asset for Hollywood, I don't know if he would stick around for several Bond films as Dench did. Of course if he does do this and signs some sort of contract it would be pretty incredible.

Plus, I've always loved having Bond's boss a female, it sort of provides some balance to his character.
