I never liked the original; it was too ridiculous and chessy. But this looks kinda fun.

Someone over at badassdigest has seen the film. He said it is basically the same movie, beat-for-beat, with different production design.

Trailer looked awesome.

Trailer #2. Slightly different than the International trailer.

It seems to me that they got their hands on the original script. Got rid of Mars and Schwarzenegger. Stripped away the gore and the nudity to get a PG-13. And what is left is a kids-friendly version of the original movie. Why anyone would want to see that or claim it's going to be better than the original and more true to "the book" is beyond me.

Though in fairness, alhough kind of pointless, it A: Looks nice, and B: Doesn't completely miss the point of the original.


LIKE THE EVIL DEAD REMAKE SEEMS TO BE HEADING TO. SINCE THE MAIN ACTRESS IN THE REMAKE DOESN'T REALIZE EVIL DEAD WAS A COMEDY.
