This seems very cool. It would be crazy to see one more Scorsese-De Niro collaboration after Casino. And of course a Scorsese-Pacino is long overdue.

Who ever it was that said they can't get that excited about this, I kinda agree. Not sure I care to see a reunion of all these people at this point in time. I'll see it because it's fuckin Scorsese but Im not gonna start drooling over it.

I want to see this happening, but Scorsese loves to takes his time, so IDK if this project will be made at all (none of them is getting younger, sadly)

Al Pacino Says He's Still Hoping To Make 'The Irishman' With Martin Scorsese & Robert De Niro
Martin Scorsese has many projects developing at the same time, sometimes for years and years (see his currently filming "Silence," which he had been shepherding and trying to put together forever), but one that has fans most excited is "The Irishman." Why? Because it'll not only mark a reunion between Scorsese and Robert De Niro, but also between De Niro and Al Pacino. That alone would have any cinephile excited, and the material sounds terrific too. While it still looks to be on the distant horizon, Pacino thinks that one day that movie will get made.

“I would imagine [we’ll still make it], because the script is so good. But it’s been a long time that it’s been on the burner, so to speak”.

Details on the project have been coming in slow drips. Last we heard was that Pacino's pal Bobby Cannavale would be part of the cast, which may also include longtime Scorsese friends and collaborators Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel. Meanwhile, way back in 2013, Scorsese said "The Irishman" would shoot after "Silence," but of course, who knows if that's still the plan?

To refresh your memory, the project has a script by Steve Zaillian ("Gangs Of New York," "Schindler's List," "Moneyball"), adapted from the book "I Heard You Paint Houses" by Charles Brandt, and tells the true story of Frank Sheeran, a WWII veteran who led a colorful life as a high ranking officer in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters while also dabbling in organized crime as a highly-sought-after hitman, with rumored ties to the deaths of President Kennedy and Jimmy Hoffa.

Eh... Silence first, then Tyson, that's my hope. I don't want to watch Scorsese's version of The Expendables (ya, I know it sounds ridiculous but all of these actors reached their peaks long time ago).

And that's exactly why he needs to make this film ASAP. These guys are not exactly getting any younger.

This sort of movie tends to have ensemble cast. It's not like Expendables , c'mon !. That's just a bunch of people together for the sake of being a bunch of people together. Also , its a Martin Scorsese movie. Hopefully this is next , instead of the Tyson thing.
