as a resident DP, wondering if you think they chose a somewhat dry visual style to make the VFX easier to handle

"Dry"? Fantastic trailer, Prieto's work looks as glorious as ever. YouTube quality but very impressive VFX work. The iffy 24 year old De Niro is in motion briefly and it does look better already than the still we got. Excited to check out the trailer in better quality on Netflix itself.

Both trailers are wildly at odds with the actual tone and pacing of the film if we're to believe people who worked on it.
