I liked it. Lars Mikkelsen/Charles Augustus Magnussen made the episode for me. The Mikkelsen brothers are a good bunch. Magnussen was brilliant, creepy, disgusting and I loved it. Although I think it was a misfire on his part to reveal the truth about Appledore.

I love
Moriarty
but not sure what to make of the ending...

Yeah, Lars was frakking magnificent as Magnusen. :clap:

I dunno why they had to put that last scene in.. Kinda ruined that episode for me. Now I'll be thinking about how the frak did he survive
after blowing his brains out!
instead of how great the episode was till then.

Has the show finally jumped the shark?

Just saw episode 1.

Holy fuck, this show is back with fucking vengeance. Writing, acting, directing, everything was on point and I had a lot of fun watching it.

Interesting.
I just expected it to be a program that Moriarty set up as a contingency.

My theory was that Sherlock and Moriarty are just as smart as each other and that if Sherlock survived then Moriarty had to as well. I knew he was still alive in some form, deep down honestly. However, I didn't know that he had a twin brother though, that is fascinating.
