Now, it could be a coincidence but Bane wearing a red biker helmet and a biker suit when he enters and leaves the stock exchange looks an awful lot like Jason Todd as the Red Hood. I'm just having fun with the visual elements of the film.
I'm sure that's a coincidence but hey, if you see it another way, more power to you

Why not? Character of Barsad is already a reference to Deadshot. Plus, Gordon jokingly mentions giant alligators which is a reference to Killer Croc.

Barsad is a reference to A Tale of Two Cities, obviously. Deadshot? Nope. Gotham Knight already had Deadshot in that universe. And it's not Gordon who mentions the alligators, it's Blake telling it to Bruce that they asked Gordon about it.

Yes, I have seen this film way too many times

Let me get this straight... first you make a statement that looks like Nolan actually put a Red Hood reference in TDKR to support your theory about subtle comic book references and then you tell us it’s just you ‘having fun with the visual elements of the movie’? Can someone call a doctor.

I didn't know watching and interpreting films had to be a dour and humourless exercise? Suit yourself. But I don't think I presented it as him intentionally putting it in there. I have just decided for myself that it looks like a reference (but probably isn't). It's just a fun thought that crossed my mind one day: "is this actually referring to the Red Hood"? I was wondering that because the Red Hood from the comics was a master criminal wearing a red helmet and Jason Todd gave him a biker look and then in TDKR Bane is at a stock exchange wearing that sort of outfit so...yeah, coincidence? Most likely. But a fun one to be sure. I'm saying that if you wanted to see a reference you could find it there but it might most likely not be deliberate. So, yes, it's fun to tilt your head and see what you can find in a film's visual aesthetic, the costumes, etc. that was maybe not even originally intended by the director.

I realized it actually can be after I started reading your comments on movies.
