Yes, I know about it. But remember, who made the statements in the first place? Pro-pedophilia is wrong, regardless of political leanings.
If anything, this can be considered a distraction to the actual problems that the alt-right have been bringing up that have been effecting the world at large.

I have no idea. Maybe you’d be better off asking the actual alt righters this question, since they can’t seem to be able to function properly without bringing up the left every 30 seconds.

That's true and I'm tired of it. It's especially ironic considering that a certain alt-right idol was a potential supporter of NAMBLA as well.

First, anyone who thinks Gunn is actually "pro-pedophilia" is an idiot. It was shock humor. A sometimes disgusting immature form of humor, but not even close to endorsement.
Second, the alt-right is weaponizing the left's value system. It's a culture war. You cannot divorce politics from Gunn' firing. It's impossible. Pretending otherwise just further validates one of the most dangerous platforms in America.

It went way over the line and in far too much detail for it to be regarded as just shock humour, in my opinion.
As an uncle, it makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm sorry, you don't know what shock humor is.
The entire purpose is to break any and all lines to shock people as much as possible. He was trying to be offensive and he offended you.
Creating a narrative that this somehow equals endorsement---a far more heinous accusation---is completely crazy and flagrantly misunderstands the purpose of this type of comedy.
This situation is complicated enough without perpetuating bogus narratives. I don't want it to sound like I'm defending Gunn's comments. I'm not. They're vile and disgusting and never should have been said. But twisting the context is wrong.
