As long as this film is still meant to be part of the DCEU I'm not really interested. They need to get someone who loves the source material, understands the characters and is capable of making good films to direct this but so far they have only had one decent film in the entire DCEU. I think Whedon might just have wanted to cut his losses.

Not really. That implies that the DCEU has hope or will improve after this move. I just really didn't want to see a Batgirl film under someone like Whedon.

Nah, I meant Whedon being involved at any rate with this, not if this franchise will improve or not.
