Cold and detached. Dumbledore is not a role suited for him.

Have you people seen Apocalypse, Eden Lake or The Light Between Oceans. He's perfect as cold characters, sure. But he can be excellent as sympathetic characters too, much more than Hardy I tell you.£

Just give the role of Dumbledore to Mark Rylance. Casting 10 years older shouldn't be a problem.

However, the casting of Jared Harris would bring everything full circle. How awesome would that be.
