King would be wonderful

I doubt the chances of Yates going to step down...

Hopefully the script is a touch tighter this time round, right now I’m feeling maybe a bit too many characters? I’d rather see a focused story centering on the quarter, really liked all of them in the first one. Everything else looks splendid, production design and VFX especially.

why does Yates shoot these like they're episodes of Doctor Who

Hopefully Doctor Who steps up the game in s011. :( They got the right cameras at least.

This looks gray and dull. Give someone other than David Yates the task of directing these so that I don't feel like I'm watching a 2-hour tv special. Some of the character work at Hogwarts seems nice enough but I could care less about Johnny Depp and Jude Law does not manage to sell his performance as Dumbledore.

Overall, this seems overstuffed and generic, with lots of seemingly disparate elements clumsily trying to come together and with lots of clunky CGI thrown in for good measure. The humour seems hit-and-miss too. I'm sure there are people who like this but so far it's not a film I feel like I need to watch.
