So they're just making fun of the movie lol

They’re embracing the fact that Ryan is doing his charismatic best (basically means being himself) in a Pokemon movie. This is going go be huge b.o. wise. Hopefully even good as it looks.

if they didn't mention it people would complain its just gosling doing his same schtick, but if they're self aware, you're okay with the (somewhat patronizing) premise cause you're now "in on it"

I was sold when Mewtoo appeared.

It looks charming, but I just can't muster up any excitement for it.

Why is nobody talking about this? Megaton hit in the making.

I was already interested since the first trailer came out because this looks really fun.

I will say that this made me think of the days where I would play the card game in the 90s and how I do not recognize some of the Pokémon they show in this trailer.

Decent, maybe even good, trailer, but it spoils a lot; weird seeing the Internet not complain about that, when I'm sure that if a less-beloved franchise had put out a trailer like this, people would be ranting about it.
