For those of you who're into these things, here's a copy of the pilot script.

You started the show yet?
Season 2 Teaser:
Ok, come on.
Is nobody else here watching this?
Season 2 has been some excellent science fiction so far. The characters have deepened, the pacing has ramped up, the visual effects are dare I say better than in Season 1 and episode 5 (most recent episode) was just fucking fantastic.

Just heard about this series while listening to the writers on NPR radio.
I'm a season late.
So I DL'ed and binge watched all the existing episodes.
Took a few episodes to get rolling but I hung in there and now I'm hooked.
Every episode intense with a lot of info flowing (names, ships, stations, etc).
You HAVE to pay attention or you get lost.
Not a show to watch while doing a crossword.
Hope it continues.

So how's this?
This show has now become the best SF show ever IMHO (Battlestar Galactica was my previous #1). And it's clearly aided by the fact that here the showrunners have not run out of the source material (unlike Game of Thrones) and are quite faithful to it.
Surprisingly, though the series is 9 books (out of which 8 are already out), the show is ending with the sixth season, which will begin shooting this year. Maybe it's because Book 6 ends at a really climactic point, and Book 7 (& the subsequent novels) takes place nearly 30 years after the events of Book 6.

Best tv series with the most boring characters (except for Amos). And sometimes I feel like a film adaptation with bigger budget & better actors would have been better. But of course a film couldn't stay true to the source material (plot length)
