Director Zack Snyder explained his controversial decision for the character in an interview with EW:

“We just did it as this little aside because we had been tracking where we thought the movies were gonna go, and we don’t have room for Jimmy Olsen in our big pantheon of characters, but we can have fun with him, right?”

Yeah, bodes well for a 170-175 mil. domestic and 320-350 mil. worldwide. If it performs like TDKR 1 billion will be on the horizon, if it follows MoS around 900 mil. Also aiming for the biggest sh opening in UK and is being generally better received internationally.

Before the reviews came in, I never would've thought that the movie would be received so poorly. I thought it would be atleast as good as Man of Steel, if not better (RT score in the 70s and so on).

I hope they find a different director for Justice League.

You're ignoring the weak cinema score which may impact its legs.

The cinemascore also indicates audiences hardly love this movie, Green Lantern got the same, Man of Steel's was better. Only time will tell what audiences in general think about this movie.

I don't know why but that was one scene that had my most attention and I'm like 99.9% sure it wasn't Malone. It was just Bats looking out for a team member.

So far it looks like the best members of this site gave this film it's lowest scores. Interesting.
