Not that this has stopped Paramount from scheduling two more Terminator films for release in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Arnold Schwarzenegger, returning to play a version of the iconic T-800 whose biological exoskeleton has aged in Genisys, has now confirmed that he will also be appearing in the planned sixth Terminator movie – which, as it were, may end up being shot back to back with the seventh installment.
Schwarzenegger, in addition to confirming his involvement, told The Arnold Fans that filming on the Terminator: Genisys sequel won’t get underway until 2016. The project doesn’t officially have a screenwriter (or screenwriters) or director in place for the time being, though that may change before Genisys reaches theaters. The same goes for confirmation (either way) concerning Arnold’s Genisys costars; especially, Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney as, respectively, the new faces for Sarah Conner and Kyle Reese in Genisys.

Come on Paramount, just because the latest trailer was better than the first doesn't mean you need to go ahead and schedule the next two sequels.

Well said. I mean they're so desperate it seems that marketing includes ref to GoT, all out quirkyness in trailer #2 and sequels announcement in just two days.

What happened to movie selling itself? I guess you can't do that when your movie is kinda bad (or looks like one).

If Genisys bombs hard, or gets panned badly (the BO might be decent because... well.... Terminator), these 2 won't happened. They are waiting for the reaction to it, that's why they will start production in 2016.

If Genisys turns out that bad as the trailers suggests then these 2 won't make it.

JK Simmons Is Signed for ‘Terminator Genisys’ Sequels

(Terminator 3000) is pitch for a CGI Terminator movie ala Avatar style. That will see Schwarzenegger voice a Terminator in a new story set in the Terminator universe. The project has not been green-lit and the rights owner (Megan Ellison) has not given her approval of the project as of yet. Hannover House are responsible for the project at the moment and are trying to pitch it. The marketing seems to be going well for a porject that is just merely a title and pitched as a CGI
