Guys, Wan is too talented a filmmaker and visual stylist not to make, at least, a sound and lightshow worth the price of admission.

Whether or not the movie itself is any good is something else entirely.

I was amazed when I did my Fast and Furious catch up what a quantum leap 7 was in actual, y'know, filmmaking

At least since Singleton's nutty entry

I don't really like the way the daylight scenes look so far. All the submerged stuff, or scenes taking place in dimly lit environments look great though.
I have faith in Wan pulling off a spectacle and I also think he will be able to give it heart. If it will be all-around good if not great is indeed another thing. I hope it will be.

I don't get those camera movements, to be honest. This is really nitpicky behaviour, but I had to say it. Why does the camera go that close to the persons in such a short amount of time, then revolve around them, then move out? That looks... really awful, I think.

Well, one of the producers said he was afraid the film wasn't going to be finished in time.

These posters look like promotion for a live action anime instead of promo for a big budget adaptation of a well known IP.
