Fincher's film is a favourite of mine from recent years and his 'involvement' in this along with Foy and Hoeks give me some hope but I'm still annoyed he never got to continue the series.

Kreips has a mere screentime of 3 minutes (How she is utilised in the movie is kind of woeful), and Hoeks doesn't really enter the film until about 75 minutes into the movie.
Also, this movie has the best ad for a Lamborghini I have seen.

The Swedish original trilogy is the only version of this story that interests me and its success is the only reason why other directors decided to direct either remakes or other entries in this series of films. Fincher has style with little substance and it seems like the director of this film does not even have that. Too bad.
