It's an internet thing.

My personal top 5 directors...

1. Stanley Kubrick - The most prolific and influential director of all time.

2. Steven Spielberg - The guy who reinvented Hollywood.

3. Francis Ford Coppola - The master who created the incredible Godfather and the stunning Apocalypse Now.

4. Ridley Scott - A great story-teller but most of all an incredible visionary. The uniqueness of the atmosphere he creates in movies like Blade Runner or Alien is fantastic.

5. Ethan Coen & Joel Coen - One of the most hard-working directors in Hollywood. The Coens know how to flip details in such classy way it has become one of the most unique trademarks in filmmaking.

I didn't named Chris Nolan since we're on NolanFans and that would be such a cliche.

do I need to mention Nolan? ok I will

1. Nolan - stop asking why

- Jackson - not Michael :judge:

- Scott - not Tony

- Cameron - the dude created Terminator, for fcuk's sake

- Scorsese - he's cool 8-)

- Tarantino - he's even cooler 8-) 8-)

- The Coen Brothers - no comment, just stop asking why

- Aronofsky - I'm losing sense of reality while watching his movies

- Burton - just plain weird :wtf:

- Lynch - for all the cult classics

- Kubrick - the least but not the last (or is it the other way? )

ohh I have more but it's always so difficult with the lists like that - why do we need lists anyway?

MAJOR EDIT: Spielberg, PT Anderson and the rest of the elite crew
