Exactly. It just seems unnecessary and uninteresting. Especially considering the second half of the first film is basically Elastigirl's part of the film with the first half being Mr. Incredible's. This just feels like the blandest choice possible. If I didn't know better, I'd think Bird didn't return.

The animation looks great but I'm not so sure about the plot. So Elastigirl will only have sub-arc while the main arc is Bob and their kids at home ? That's kinda... unsatisfied for me. The Incredibles has perfect balance between 2 arcs for me. Watching the trailer, I don't feel confident about the plot

This looks generic (aside from the animation).
A need to become a corporate sellout to put food on the table? Check.
The corporate tycoon possibly being a scumbag? Check.
Marketing being vapid and without substance? Check.
Superheroes being illegal? Check.
The husband who has to stay at home and cannot deal with raising the kids while his wife is away? Check.
This is all stuff we've seen before. I appreciate the role reversal in terms of Elastigirl being the breadwinner of the family but that also feels really unsubtle and superficial at the same time. But this is owned by Disney so I'm not surprised at all.

Forgot about the dubbing. That's gonna be an issue here as well.
