Master of None, Season 2

An improvement over season 1, I think.

Also kinda fills the void left by Louie, if only because of the tangents the show goes on at times, which are refreshing and engaging.

I agree that it was an improvement on Season 1 but I thought the last 2 episodes really kinda sucked (although it was still nice to look at). The first 8 episodes I thought were excellent.

13 Reasons Why

Has a really weird tonal dissonance, because at times it feels like some of the trash you find on CW, and other times it's like something that would air on HBO.

The show is very much about the business of itself, if that makes sense. Like, the characters take themselves way too seriously and it's packed with cliche, which makes it hard to suspend disbelief. Which therefore makes the disturbing/dark stuff even more hard to believe, because they just feel so separated from the rest of this "world."

There's also this incredibly frustrating shit where non-white characters keep hinting at how different things are for them and how privileged the white characters are, but it's NEVER fucking explored more than just a passing, passive-aggressive comment, which makes it an insult to them, to the white characters, and to the viewer for having to go sit through all this nonsense.

Otherwise, it's like porn for depressives, cuz the entire premise is something I fantastized about doing when I was in high school, and I venture to guess a lot of depressive an/or suicidal teens have thought the same.

Minnette gives an admittedly relatable performance, and both he and Langford are cute AF

Watched the first episode and I swore that I would never make myself watch another.

I'm not usually that offended by specific content , but if a TV Show/Movie romanticizes self-harm, regardless of quality, I avoid it like the plague. That's why I stopped after watching the first episode of American Horror Story.

Jesus, getting closer to the end of 13 Reasons Why.

No wonder it has the teen drama cliches. Without it, I think this would have been 10x more depressing than it actually is.

This is making me cry.

Dylan Minnette needs to be fucking admired.

I tapped out after the first two episodes. When the two girls fight over a guy who's so clearly gay... I just couldn't

I really recommend The Babysitter. It's a whole lotta fun and just in time for Halloween. Also Samara Weaving is... wow.

It's a McG film. I saw it, and you're insane.

If a good director can make a bad movie, a bad director can make a good one, so the director's name doesn't really influence the quality of a film. As for the movie itself, is it some sort of masterpiece? Of course not, I never said it. Is it a fun Halloween movie? Of course it is.
