Every legend has a beginning? ...
Yeah... whatever.
Spielberg's Hook is still the best Pan out there.

It's mostly nostalgia for me, and Dustin Hoffman.
Julia Roberts was hot as it gets for a five-six year old (albeit incredibly mediocre) and I really can't dismiss Robin Williams when he's acting like a child, his 'memento' Pan was an honest performance and watching him re-grow into green tights was a pleasure.
Everyone always mentions Ru-fi-o and Spielberg's tendance for cheap sentiments that go on and on like a neverending story, but if you grew up watching Hook and when you watch it today, especially with someone younger, it's hard to just diss it when your only real alternative is a solid (and recognizable) Disney animation that barely even touches the greats.
Eh... it's a top 10 Disney flick for me. Controversial I know.

Is Tarzan as No.1 controversial? Last great hand drawn animation from Disney (1999, legendary year), phenomenal soundtrack, interesting setting and characters.
Amazing (and edgy/brave) villain's death sequence.
Difference being though is that I think Pan has its tongue firmly in its cheek. Now Where Was I ? wrote:These posters/Stills are TerminatorGenisys-level bad
Looks better than anticipated actually.
