Given he's directing the third episode here, do you think he was assigned this particular piece, because it has something similar?
Wow, now you've got my hopes up for something epic.
ChrisTilford wrote:Dude's got a quite a few good projects coming up on television: 2 pilots; one for NBC called Time (with Supernatural's Eric Kripke, & The Shield's Shawn Ryan), and the other for USA called Poor Richard's Almanack (co-created by fellow GoT director Miguel Sapochnik). Logline's pretty cool.
Drama which weaves between modern day and a possible future where characters have changed radically and revolves around a cadre of heroes who emerge as the new Founding Fathers, after America is pushed to the brink of collapse.
He's also set to do the first episode of Netflix's reboot of Lost in Space. Really keeping himself occupied.

That USA pilot sounds all kinds of awesome. Looks like the success of Mr Robot has made the network even more adventurous.
Wish he would go back to directing movies as well. I absolutely adored The Descent. And most of his other films were interesting too.

First of all, Hello Oracle! Long time...
Yeah, USA's really stepping it up. Really looking forward to Falling Water (which has already been picked up). They'll probably pair it with Mr. Robot. Their logline's really kickass, too.
The story of three unrelated people, who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. Each of them is on a mysterious and highly personal quest - one is searching for his missing girlfriend, one is searching for a lost child, one is looking to cure his catatonic mother - and it is the clues found in their collective dream that come to guide them. The deeper they dig, though, the more they come to realize that their missions touch on stakes that are much larger than their individual agendas. That the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world.
Marshall was rumored to do the next Skull Island film, Blood of the Kong, but turns out he's not. Maybe once all of these wrap up, he'll get down to it. Be cool if he ends up directing co-creator Lisa Joy's Reminscence (who has script or story credit in the third episode), which is set up at Legendary Pictures, & was part of the 2013 Blacklist.
Lili Simmons (Banshee, True Detective), has joined the cast of new HBO drama series Westworld in a recurring role. Production on Westworld, which was halted in January, has resumed.
A reimagening of the classic Michael Crichton film, Westworld, a mash-up a theme-park setting and animatronics with science fiction and Wild West iconography, is described as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.” Simmons will portray Abigail, who works in the park and uses her good looks and charm to lure Westworld guests into saloon. She is currently filming, having started her stint just as production was being stopped so the writing team led by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy can work on the remaining four scripts.
Simmons has been on the radar of HBO casting executives for awhile with her guest arc on the first season of True Detective and her co-starring role on Banshee for sibling Cinemax. She also has Wild West credentials with her role in the 2015 feature Bone Tomahawk. Simmons is repped by UTA , manager Kate Linden and attorney Stuart Rosenthal.
Westworld is from Bad Robot Productions, Jerry Weintraub Productions and Kilter Films in association with Warner Bros. TV. Nolan is executive producer/writer/director with executive producer/writer Joy, along with exec producers J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk.
Abigail's also the name of Anthony Hopkins's only child.
If I were to work backwards given this information here
1x08: (w) Lisa Joy & Kath Lingenfelter; (d) Michelle MacLaren (possible schedule clash with Helen Shaver)
1x09: (w) Dan Dietz & Jonathan Nolan; (d) Jonathan Nolan

MacLaren is a new addition right? Haven't heard her name associated with this show before. Good sign, she's a fantastic director. Explains why she's not doing any more episodes of The Deuce which starts up in May.
