Is the Favreau one still a musical?

Any idea if Kaa is going to be one of the good guys like in the book or bad like in the Disney animated film?

Can't wait for the real jungle book.

That's what I was thinking as well, considering that this is also by Disney, so it will probably be similar or inspired by the animated film. Hope Serkis' version is more faithful to the book.

Serkis has already confirmed his film will be close to the book.
