No. I've seen some better CGI, but I did not think it was terrible. Especially;
when the creatures are in the mist. This is one of my favourite scenes;

The way it captures the characters and they realise that it's the end of the world... Magnificent.

That scene is amazing. Just how I pictured it. The cgi works well. For one you can't see the creatures clearly. I found some CGI good. Some of it was down right bad. When they had a chance to use practical effects they did so for me it balances out. When I saw it some people laughed at the CGI. I feel like some of the lesser effects turned some off and that's sad.
Honestly I think the story itself is one of the best "horror" stories ever written. I liked the film a lot. I think it could have been done better though. It needed to be trimmed down IMO.

I do think it's criminal.. the lack of love for the film. ;)

It is drama/horror, albeit leaning more on the drama side but it still fits.
