Aw, such a shame. The guy is a legend. RIP
R.I.P. Roger Ebert
Very sad news. He was the best and will be missed dearly by moviegoers and those who love film. May he rest in peace.

Oh man, this is so sad
Rest in peace Mr. Ebert.
"It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life because that's going to happen. All that matters is you gotta get up."
Wow, this is incredibly depressing. Easily my favorite film critic. Rest in peace.
His "North" review will always be a classic:

His review of Deuce Bigalow 2 is also a masterpiece of snark. The closing line is one of the best burns ever.

But Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" while passing on the opportunity to participate in "Million Dollar Baby," "Ray," "The Aviator," "Sideways" and "Finding Neverland." As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.
Just imagine... Siskel and Ebert At The Movies: Heaven Edition. Now there's a show i'd want to see!
Goddamn I'm actually pretty broken up about this. He was such a talented writer and a passionate individual.
