Adams - the best, she was sympathetic and carried the movie well, I was on her side all the time.
Stamp - the usual Burtonian authoritative type, almost cameo presence, not much to do except for couple of crucial scenes
Huston - same as Stamp, although nothing crucial
Schwartzman - two, maybe three scenes, really nothing special

Now that I think about it, Adams and Waltz (hated his character, which was the point) are the movie. And the whole art style... standard Burton, but wonderful to listen and look at.
