understanding story and using every element at your disposal to tell your story.

what i noticed about mad max (and what is prolly a mark of a successful film) is it doesn't feel like it's aspiring to be anything. it's a completely self contained experience due to miller making creative choices based on what best articulates his vision rather than what's currently in style

honestly theron's straight american accent stood out to me more than whatever hardy was doing.

but hey they're in a dystopian future soooo you can't really accuse anyone of sounding inauthentic
