Bad CGI? Like what? The entire ending sequence was done without CGI or minatures, and that's pretty impressive.

Yeah the ending sequence is good.
There were some shots of cgi bikes which I didn't like plus they imposed Craig's face over the stuntman and I think it just makes it worse. Also when Bond drops the dude. That was cgi. It looks super face. Too fake for a Bond movie. Also I thought Silva's Island was fake looking as hell. The choppers that show up look way too fake. And lets not forget the whole dragon scene.
Overall I do love the movie now but even with all of it' greatness I still feel it could have been much much better.

Not unheard of in the world of movies.

Skyfall- 9/10 A very good film, top notch acting, cinematography and direction. But the main plot of the script isn't exactly innovative or revolutionary, with little to no surprises. This is where Casino Royale gets the slight edge.
I respect everyone's personal opinion here, but I do have a small problem with the "little to no surprises" thing that i've seen in several posts throughout this forum. Assuming everyone went in spoiler free, would you have guessed in one million years
what Skyfall means, and that a bond film was going to end with a booby trapped home that explodes due to a villain riding in Apocalypse Now style?
If so than I have some use for you and your clairvoyance in my day to day life.

Those few things really got to me the first time I saw the film. I didn't think it was gonna have near as much cgi. Also I wasn't ready for the few camp scenes. That stuff ruined it the first time I saw it. On the second viewing I was just able to look past those few things.

It's not really the movie I thought it was going to be but it is still fun and Craig is a boss.

Skyfall without a shadow of a doubt. Casino Royale was a good Bond movie, Skyfall was a great film, period. It was better shot (I mean come on, Deakins cinematography was just exquisite) better directed and better acted overall. Plus the villain in Skyfall was 10 times better than the villain in Casino Royale.

Skyfall is truly The Dark Knight of the Bond series. It really is its own beast. You only need to look at the amazing critical reviews and the massive box office gap between Skyfall and the other Bond movies.

I got spoiled early on during shooting when I learned that
SKyfall is his home
So there really were no surprises in Skyfall for me. The ending left me a tad underwhelmed as well. Overall though, I would have to say I enjoyed Skyfall a lot more than I did CR. So my vote goes to Skyfall.
