the crew list on IMDb lists a stunt double for 'Young Madeleine', it does seem like indeed, despite all the 'killing her off before the title sequence' rumours, she'll be a bigger part of the story that most think. Also probably confirms the Norway set photos were indeed a flashback

The search for a “Bond 25” composer has ended with the perfect choice: Dan Romer, who provided offbeat, eclectic scores for director Cary Fukunaga’s quirky “Maniac” series and haunting “Beasts of No Nation” feature. IndieWire has learned that Romer will soon reunite with Fukunaga on “Bond 25,” currently shooting in London.

There had been speculation that the director might tap Oscar-winner Justin Hurwitz (forming a Team Damien Chazelle triumvirate with cinematographer Linus Sandgren and editor Tom Cross) or franchise vet David Arnold, who brilliantly scored Daniel Craig’s first two Bond outings, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace.”

Happy with this. Directors should always be allowed to pick DoP, composer and editor imo. And he will bring something fresh to the table, but hopefully keeping the atmospheric feel of Newman's better Bond work.

Of course most people on Bond forums appear to be losing their shit over this because it's not Arnold...

They seem to forget that Arnold is decent at best and kinda isn't really a big name in the industry these days!

As a member of MI6 forum like yourself I'm not one of thoses, I like DA's 2 DC scores but that is it and if he'd come back for Bond 25 I'd have been quite happy.

I've listened to Romer's work and I like what I hear, I wasn't bowled over by Newman's contribution to the series.

John Barry is one of my heroes and quite possibly my favourite aspect period of Bond, even when the films were lame, Barry delivered gold.

Though I know that no one will ever measure up to his genius and maybe a fresh take on Bond music is what we need, hopefully though not the ambient wall paper of elements of Newman's Bond scores.

Someone not frightened to use that theme but not soak the film in it, would like DC to get one moment when it's blaring, he deserves that for his swansong I think.

I think it just speaks more to EON's more director-led approach now with the Craig films and how a lot of old-school Bond fans seem unhappy with that, preferring an approach that's probably best compared to Marvel...

So can we slowly start talking about how this will possibly/hopefully be good and how tabloids remain being the shittiest form of entertainment in the world? Like, everything official so far has tingled my senses in the best possible way.
