Evil Dead (2013).

It might not have the charm of the original, but it certainly has the gore. I'm not much of a horror fan so I don't feel comfortable commenting on how well crafted the film is in terms of pulling at the audiences strings or whatnot, but it certainly gave me some thrills. The gory awesomeness was insanely fun; I was smiling half the time. The only thing that irked me at all about the film was the cliched digital horror color grade. Cinematography looked good, but the color grade definitely ate a bit of the production value. Fun as hell though.
