Marvel Movies... A bit Too Much at this point?

No, that's just something you gave to me because I thought Avengers looked awesome.

I wasn't aware making predictions that turned out to be correct made me a fanboy. Maybe you're just upset all of your predictions fell flat on their face and decided to call me that because I was right?

Marvel Movies... A bit Too Much at this point?

Eh, if the movies are good, then the trend of sh/cb movies should continue. 2-3 marvel movies a year isnt very much in the big scheme of things. at least they're hiring talented people to make these movies.

And TDK is totally a CBM. You don't get lines like "This city just showed you that it's full of people ready to believe in good..." in gritty, realistic crime dramas. Its just a really really well-made CBM with non-powered characters and relatively believable technology. Theres nothing plausible about Ras al Ghul or the Joker or Catwoman or the Scarecrow of Two-Face or Batman outside of a comic book universe. I happen to love that universe, and relative to the Marvel stuff its realistic, but It aint Goodfellas.

Those hoping for less of these movies in the future should cross your fingers that Guardians of the Galaxy is a total John Carter level clusterfuck, which is a definite possibility. That would probably put a crimp in things.

This has nothing to do with The Avengers. Why are you derailing this thread?

Stop reporting shit that ain't offtopic RIFA.

Avengers is Marvel, and that is on topic to this thread.

Posting pictures of bananas or talking about a different show is offtopic.

Jeezus christ. I bet this thread it going to turn out just like The Avengers thread. Tons of pointless reports.

Marvel does make too many movies. The Avengers should have been their last for a while.
It's not like DC who releases 1 every couple of years.
DC since 2005:
Batman Begins - 2005
Superman Returns - 2006
The Dark Knight - 2008
Watchmen - 2009
Green Lantern - 2011
The Dark Knight Rises - 2012
Man of Steel - 2013

Marvel since 2005 (I'm leaving out quite a few):
Fantastic Four - 2005
Elektra - 2005
X-men: The Last Stand - 2006
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - 2007
Spider-Man 3 - 2007
Ghost Rider - 2007
Iron Man - 2008
The Incredible Hulk - 2008
X-men: Origins Wolverine - 2009
Iron Man 2 - 2010
Thor - 2011
X-men: First Class - 2011
Captain America: The First Avenger - 2011
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - 2012
Men In Black 3 - 2012
The Avengers - 2012
The Amazing Spider-Man - 2012
Iron Man 3 - 2013
Thor 2 - 2013

Yeah all the Marvel movies tie into TA and/or TA2, so its central to the discussion actually. Its gargantuan success is basically responsible for all the future movies (including GotG), except IM3. If TA had merely been a modest success, Marvel would not be so ambitious with their plans.

Bacon your list is pretty long when you include all the stuff produced by other studios. Lol maybe it is too much then.

And I heard that they are planning on rebooting Fantastic Four as well. Not sure if that has any truth to it though.

I like how joey is still playing 'I'm a little Marvel rep' and basically dissing everything that's been going on over at TDKR threads.

But this is a Marvel thread.

Classic response.

Eh? You need to get over it (whatever "it" is). TDKR is by far my most anticipated movie, and Ive mostly avoided the TDKR threads to stay relatively spoiler-free.

If it makes you feel better - since you seem to really really care what I think - I expect TDKR to be the best CBM of the year and probably of all time. As far as what goes on in a particular board, I really dont care. I do try to be objective in my observations, but I fail at this like everyone else.

And my response was just a reiteration/expansion of chee's post. I may have been redundant, but chee was absolutely right.

Bacon, half those films you listed are made by other studios. You can't blame Marvel if other studios adapt their properties.

Also, Jonah Hex is conspicuosly absent from your list.
