Went to Comic Con back in 08. From what I hear/read/see it's just not the same anymore. Less about comics than it is about ALL media, mostly stupid stuff. And crowded as fuck. More than it ever has been. Also tickets sell out within nanoseconds from release. It's a shame really. It used to be a nerdy mecca, now it's like a corporate bastardization of what businessmen think nerds like/want. Local cons are way better I would think.

I'd like to go next year, but I need a group of friends to tag along with me or it will just be a bore.

And a costume. You gotta go to Comic-Con with a costume dude.

The only thing really I care about this year at CC is what is shown about MoS, Dr. Who and The Hobbit.
And I can't go.

Dress up like the Doctor but wear a fez and carry around a mop.

Maybe. A Supernatural cosplay would be far easier though. It's just jeans and plaid. Lots of plaid.

Agree 100% with this. I still remember going to 2005 and seeing the promise of Superman Returns (I know I know but hell it was Superman and Bryan Singer! Who would have thought back then it would be such a borefest of a film?) The teaser was epic and so were all the comic related panels. The one in 2010 was utter garbage, I still remember walking by the panel for GLEE and thinking wtf happened to this once great organization.
