Yeah, nearly half the tennis season is over, but better late than never, right?

Now that Wimbledon has just begun, I thought we could discuss who we think might win this year, the favourites and the dark horses, etc.

Anything and everything that is tennis related is acceptable here.

I don't think anyone could imagined that Gulbis would defeat Berdych. That Latvian millionaire playboy has always infuriated me. The guy has so much talent but no dedication. And then once in a while, he plays a match like this!

While I hope Federer wins this and equals Sampras' record of 7 Wimbledons, I think the final will be yet another Djokovic-Nadal affair.

On the women's side, I think Sharapova has a great chance of winning this, provided she doesn't run into Serena.

Yeah, that sucks. But then again, she had taken a lot of time off the circuit due to her medical condition [Sjogren's syndrome] and she hasn't played a lot of matches this year. Hope she gets better...

I think Djokovic has the game to beat Nadal on all surfaces, except clay. So if they play in the final, I'd back Nole over Rafa. Like last year.
