A lot of the movie is super anime-influenced. The whole third act, really.

As someone who doesn't watch anime, how so?

The looks like pure anime, if not directly from Dragon Ball Z

Just saw it for the 2nd time, doesn't do this movie any good. I'm starting to hate some things they have done more and more

yeah, not to mention the overall color scheme of the battle.

If there's one thing I don't have an issue with in TLJ, it's sure as fuck the visuals. They're sublime. I prefer TFA's cinematography to TLJ's (it's more dynamic), but TLJ may be overall the second best looking Star Wars movie in many respects.

see, i was more thinking there were some soft close ups

but maybe. when i go this weekend, i'll keep an eye out - there weren't any egregious technical faults that took me out of the movie
