Joker did mention his father twice though... I'm betting he definitely had some serious upbringing issues related to him. I mean, mental issues always start somewhere, and in the family home is usually the source.

Even though the Joker was a diabolical madman who used imtimidation and lies to assault his opponents, I think he did have issues with his father as a child.

Well thing is, Joker makes up a new story for himself everyday. Or at least thats what I believe

He's a mad dog.... He uses the father anecdote to scare and deceive people, people can comprehend justified madness, but they can't comprehend it when it's not justified by anything other than nature
