People you knew who thought TDK was a Baman 89 Pt II

Anyone have friends who went into the movie thinking this was a sequel to Batman 89? Or left the movie thinking it was a sequel? I mean, I'd like to think no one would be that naive, but I've learned not to underestimate people, lol.

I could just imagine someone saying "Why did the Joker change so much since last time? And I thought he died at the end of first movie?"

I don't know about THAT, but I do know a good bit of people didn't even know it was a sequel to BB. They didn't even know BB existed.

Sequel to Batman 89 makes no sense. Unless they have been living in a cave since the iron curtain fell... there were already three blockbuster sequels to 89.

Some of my friends weren't even alive when Batman 89' was released... :think:

And if any one of them thought this, they wouldn't be my friend anymore.

I know one person I work with that thinks TDK is the only film in this series so far. She didn't know there was a Batman(Begins) before TDK. I don't think she thinks Batman 89 is a sequel to TDK. I don't know which one is worse actually.

This. I saw some simpleton on a TDKR forum somewhere asking the stupid question "Does Arkham Asylum even exist in the Nolanverse?"
