Wait, NOLAN directed this?

This 2002 remake of a Norwegian film follows a Los Angeles homicide detective dispatched to Alaska to investigate the murder of a local teen.

Oh. I assumed the one on this site was Nolan's final draft.
Well, thanks, I'll take a look at it. :)

Dormer lives on with his guilt in the original..which is haunting. Because he is not alone anymore knowing the truth.
But I liked what Nolan did too no doubt. Never seen Al so strung out before, felt sorry for him. While as in the original, I couldn't say I rooted for the protagonist.

I didn't know this movie was directed by Christopher Nolan until a long, long time after as well. I think I overlooked it at first because it felt less twisty than average Nolan-films that I just didn't make the connection.
It's very good. I don't particularly enjoy it though, but that's partly because I always feel awfully tired when watching it like I'd been missing sleep like Dormer.

I was laughing because I've ruined many good films by watching them late at night when I'm tired. A good example of this is The Seven Samurai, which -- to this day -- I haven't seen all the way through.

I was pointing out a forum rule.
