Why is Insomnia considered Nolan's weakest film when...

This 2002 remake of a Norwegian film follows a Los Angeles homicide detective dispatched to Alaska to investigate the murder of a local teen.

For me, picking my least favorite is easy (Following). But after that it's a crap shoot.

Yup,it's the most normal plot Nolan came with, and it's a remake that almost looks excactly the same as the original.
This movie was just to Set-Up he's career as a Blockbuster director.

The movie isnt bad,but not really special also.

You're either Batmotor or Edward Norton.

I think Insomnia is Nolan's weakest film (Haven't seen Following yet). However I have watched it twice and I thoroughly enjoyed the film on both counts. It's more than a solid film IMO though not exceptional.

Insomnia is dull but nowhere near as dull as Batman Begins IMO.

Oh shut up ok? Those two movies are average but they're Nolan's worst movies. Inception, Dark Knight, Memento and The Prestige are his best work.
