Memento 10th Anniversary Blu-Ray by Lionsgate

The famous 2000 film that put Christopher Nolan on the map tells the story of a man on the hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife.

Here's a clear example:

Yeah, if you look at some of the other Sony screenshots the jacket should be dark blue. In this particular shot, however, it almost looks PURPLE. Glad they fixed it with this new transfer. Skin tones and other colors are also far more accurately represented in this new transfer. And the clarity of the image is quite a bit better too. All in all it's a big upgrade. Glad I didn't purchase the Sony one considering the complaints about it from reviewers and consumers.

The new edition looks much better there, but what's with the black and white scenes?

The detail is terrible on the new one.

Really? The fine texture of his face and stubble is gone in a smeary blur. The contrast was turned up for the new one, but the actual image is of far lower quality.

Beat me to it fella.

Yeah I wasn't that impressed with the new one compared to Sony's one. It might depend if it's been designed for HDMI TV rather than a laptops HD's picture.
Unlikely reason though.

I think a better comparison would be a color version in my view.
