Favourite scene?

The famous 2000 film that put Christopher Nolan on the map tells the story of a man on the hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife.

For me it has to be the ending confrontation with Teddy after Lenny has killed Jimmy grantz.
'You tell everbody about Sammy jankis... Brilliant story which keeps getting better everytime you narrate it. So you lie to yourself to be happy...We all do it..."

My favorite scene, at least in my top 3, is when Leonard says "When I close my eyes. I have to believe the worlds still there"

My favorite scene, in terms of comical moments, is the scene where Burt (hotel owner) tells Leonard that he rented him into another room. The dialogue between them was priceless.

When Dodd is in the closet, and Lenny has forgotten what happened. That look on Leonards face, just awesome! Good acting Pearce! :)
David emerges from the store slowly. He braces himself against a parked car and then keeps on walking in a nightmarish daze.

WE PULL BACK as David blends in with dozens and dozens of ordinary people, walking on an ordinary street, in an ordinary city.

At the last part of the Sammy Jenkins story, we see Sammy in the hospital. We cut back to Lenny, having a phonecall, few times, but the last scene with Jenkins;
He looks at one of the docters, the docter then walks right in front of the camera, when he leaves the shot we see Sammy for just a second. But it's not Sammy anymore, it's Leonard sitting in the hospital!
Check it on your DVD! :o
i noticed it the first time and was like WTF and when everything was revealed i was like holy crap

In the B and W scene where Leonard is talking about the drugs, mixing with the police file, is Leonard's medical file (for the nut house). It's show for a second, but I recognize because looks like the cover of the 2 disc special edition memento DVD.
It's so obvios that Leonard live in denial and Chris Nolan is a F*** genius.

Natalie: I need you to kill Dodd for me. Kill him I'll pay you.
Leonard: I'm not gonna kill someone or money.
Natalie: What then? Love? You'd kill for your wife wouldn't you?
Leonard: That's diferent.
Natalie: Not to me I wasn't * married to her.
Leonard: Hey, don't talk about my wife.
Natalie: I can talk about whoever the * that I want! I can say whatever I want and you won't remember. I can call your wife a * hoer and we could still be friends.
Leonard: Calm down
Natalie: Easy for you to say you can't get scared, you don't know how you * idiot.
Leonard: Take it easy, this has nothing to do with me
Natalie: Well maybe it does, how the * would you know? You don't know a * thing! You can't get scared but can you get angry?
Leonard: Yes!
Natalie: Oh, you pathetic piece of sh*t. I can say whatever the * I want and you won't have a * clue. You * retard.
Leonard(searching for his pen): Shut your mouth.
Natalie:You know what? I'm gonna use you, I'm telling you now because I'm gonna enjoy it so much knowing that you can stop me if you wern't such a * freak. Did you lose your pen? Well, that's to bad freak, otherwise you can write yourself a littl;e note about how much Natalie hates your retarded guts and that I called your wife a * hoer.
Leonard: Hey don't say another * word.
Natalie: About your hoer of a wife?

It's really funny. Also the ending always gets me just like the ending of TDK, Following, The Prestige

My favorite scenes are the scenes about Sammy Jankis, they are very good, especially the two of these:
When Sammy's wife asks him three times to give her the shots and then Sammy realizes that there's something wrong with his wife (she's knocked out already), and when Lenny explains that Sammy always acted as he recognized the people who walked by him. When Sammy sits in his chair in the hospital and looks happily on the doctors... it's just so good. Stephen Tobolowsky was a very good choice for the role, he acted very well.

it's so sad when he's says
"it won't hurt"
in that lovey dovey voice even though
he has just given her two injections

That scene gets a laugh out of me every time. Just reading your post got me too.
LOL I was just about to say that, it's my favorite scene along with the beginning photo scene.

For me - the opening reverse scene with titles and music (that melody is so deep and spacey) - it just sets that perfect mood for the rest of this magnificent film.
