Nolan has stated that the script was floating around when he tried to get Memento made, and it does have some notable similarities (writing down memories/activities). It also stars Inception's Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

I only saw Insomnia for the first time a few months ago but I really liked it. It may not be as epic and engaging as his other major flicks but it's still a great movie IMO. A lot better then most of the crap that has come out in the last 10 years that gets more attention. Its defintly a higher bro...

Probably in my top ten, defintly top fifteen... i still can't figure whether or not it bests The Prestige. And since The Prestige is the newest film in that category, Inception is the best film since The Prestige.
