I wanna see Spielberg's Star Wars. Dratted DGA.Cilogy wrote:Giacchino because we might as well keep the "kinda almost like Spielberg, but not really, but we're trying really hard!" feeling consistent throughout this new set of SW films.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (NOV 2015 on PC, XBOX ONE & PS4)
That's pretty much why I wanted the FR version released when it was supposed to. And then have more incremental installments as the years went on.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (NOV 2015 on PC, XBOX ONE & PS4)
I want the original running and gunning mechanics to stay mostly stay the same (including the third person). That's my main concern. But yeah, fingers crossed. In my head I can so a present-day version of the game, that keeps the gameplay of the first two, has stunning visuals, remains faithful but ...

I wish the Free Radical version got released. That looked more or less perfect as the third installment. This is a series where iterative development and steady refinement is welcome because the core game is so fun and simple. I still play Battlefront 2 to this day for that very reason.

Re: Video Games
Maybe in our slightly wilder dreams they'll double up and say new Fallout game late this year and new Elder Scrolls sometime next year (because Skyrim was released in late 2011 and there's typically 4 or 5 years between each installment). But a new Fallout would go real nice right now. Skyrim doesn'...

Re: Free Fire (2016)
From what I've seen, Wheatley is the real deal. This project has some obvious promise and it's the sort of deal that could the director on the map, but the content isn't entirely inspiring. I hope he'll make more weird stuff in the future. High-Rise sounds interesting (and vague). Anyway, should be ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched? V
Didn't love the film but Cotillard was perfect. Renner was impressive also.
Cotillard and Phoenix's work in their final scene together was incredible. So sad and beautiful.
Good acting showcase at the very least.

Re: Jurassic World (2015)
I liked the second one despite its gymnastic antics. It was exciting. And Malcolm became, understandably, more serious and paranoid but still keeping his delightful Goldbluminess. That was good.

I know Beck was a sport about it, Beck is a cool guy. But less people are talking are about him and more about Kanye. But I'm less concerned about that and more about his post-spectacle interview.

Re: Knight of Cups (2015)
I wonder if we've seen the furthest Malick can take us with his post-hiatus style already. He's made some truly extraordinary work but it would be unfortunate if this one and the next will be much like TtW. It's cool he has a fluid, consistent and beautiful cinematic language but it's a damn shame t...
