Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
If studios, not just WB and Nolan, thought they could get the money they needed from PVOD on their big budgeted movies then one would of done it by now. And maybe they will start doing that as this pandemic drags on. I don't really know how much a studio would have to share profits with a PVOD provi...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
https://twitter.com/DEADLINE/status/1284287217985183744 I know Nolan hates the idea of streaming and VOD but you can't deny it might be the best option financially. I'm not 100% sure how PVOD works. But, prima facie, over a period of a month, if an estimated 72 million people who watched the Old Gu...

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread
Go ahead and tell us what the person told you, if you want. We know there was a screening recently, so there could have been several more with different cast, crew, and other various connected people. True or not who cares, not like we have much else to talk about.

Re: Inception (2010)
Can't believe it's been 10 years already. I'm getting old. Still one of my favorite movies and one of the best theater experiences I've ever had...the audience at the midnight premiere was really into the movie.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation
To hell with financial analyst, their "reporting" or "rating" of stocks often drives the narrative of companies instead of just reporting on it, often to the detriment to working class people.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation
Is anyone else having a hard time believing that $800m target to break even? The movie cost $225M at the most, I’m sure there are rebates since they did a lot of location work. And there’s no sports, so marketing cost should be really low. Anyone has any thoughts? $800 million seems high. I'd figur...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
I wouldn't blame WB for opening the movie in other parts of the world soon, but it's more than just America right now. Other theaters around the world like China and Brazil aren't ready to open either, and they are big markets, too. Also, piracy is a serious concern right now for many films even tho...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
Maybe if more and more internet pundits keep tweeting it, than Mulan will finally move to Disney+ in a kinda wish fulfillment being implemented by the media brow-beating Disney about it. It could happen with Mulan, but Disney did spend a lot more money on that film than other things, and likely to s...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation
I'm expecting it to be moved again, but if Disney World and Universal Studios still opened in Florida with all the case loads going on there, who knows.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
They should just release it but only one person per showing, and the cost is like a Grand per ticket.
