I think I read somewhere that they chose to shoot other scenes than scheduled on some particular rainy days.

These plains are being used for filming (they were licensed, at least): Two Spitfires from 1942 and 1947 , as well as a model plane. To be clear, the Spitfire replica can NOT fly, so that is probably going to be the plane that gets catapulted into the water. Because of that I think the rumour that they purchased a $5 million vintage aircraft (just to crash it) is false.

I think Tom Hardy will only film in Urk then? Maybe they scheduled it like that.
