Re: Which other actors should Nolan bring back from obscurity?

I have a feeling Julia Stiles is making her way into a Nolan film soon, and I also have a feeling that Nolan is a fan of 10 Things I Hate About You... Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight) Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) https://www.themoviebuff.net/wp-...

Re: Does 'Oppenheimer' finally tell us that Nolan isn't a Tory?

Yep. Completely a media-made accusation. WB pushed the movie out, Nolan didn't object, and let the media run with the idea that it would "save cinema". And when that didn't happen, they essentially threw Nolan under the bus by letting him drown in the bad press. Which led to him smearing them when ...

Re: Does 'Oppenheimer' finally tell us that Nolan isn't a Tory?

The characters that the films treats with most dignity are Chevalier (communist) and Szilard (left leaning). The only one close to the government who gets such a treatment would be Matthew Modine's Bush (but that's because he opposes mccarthysm, his speech during the hearing being the closest with ...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

I honestly don't think it's crazy to think he'll do a Bond trilogy. The dude's not even half way through his career, and this is clearly his dream project, why not do his definitive take of 007 like he did for Batman while doing his high-concept original films in between just like before. Batman/Pre...

Re: Tenet Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]

After seeing Oppenheimer three times now, I went back and watched Tenet the other night for maybe the seventh or eighth time since it was released, and I think the context of watching Oppeheimer makes Tenet even more of a masterpiece. In fact, I'm inclined to say that Dunkirk/Oppenheimer/Tenet is ba...

Re: Does 'Oppenheimer' finally tell us that Nolan isn't a Tory?

I had no idea this was even a discussion, haha. But that's the Internet for you. Nolan would probably be mortified to see anyone making an argument suggesting he's left or right. He's not a politician, political activist or a political commentator. He's a filmmaker. His "agenda" is making movies. If...
