I enjoyed that Emerson video, however it did not seem too 'nitpicky' to me, nor did it detract from the fast-cut action of TDK.
That said, I never really liked that scene in the film, it kinda bored me. In fact, I far preferred the action in Inception to TDK, a massive improvement for me.
